Modern Optical Canada has been recognized by The Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) for its contributions to the Eye See Eye Learn (ESEL) program. The mission of ESEL is to detect, diagnose, and treat kindergarten children with vision problems so that every child in kindergarten can see and learn to the best of their ability. ESEL collaborates with optometrists and industry partners throughout Canada to provide eye exams and glasses at no cost to pre-kindergarten aged children. Modern Optical Canada is the exclusive frame provider for the ESEL programs in Ontario, Alberta and Manitoba.
On April 12, 2024, the OAO shared its gratitude and praises for Modern Optical’s involvement with the ESEL program at its annual Symposium. Josephine Pepe, OAO president, presented a beautiful crystal award to Félix Sidès, Modern Optical Canada’s Sales Director, and Stephen Madge, Modern Optical Canada’s Territory Manager.
“Modern Optical Canada has proudly partnered with ESEL since 2018 and is pleased to broaden its involvement to form new ESEL partnerships. Philanthropy is central to our corporate mission,” said Ken Weissman, Modern Optical’s president & CEO, “and we know this quality program will maximize our impact in meaningful ways.”
