Ray-Ban revived the iconic Balorama silhouette from its 1967 archives for a limited edition run of the Mega Balorama. Only 100 pieces will be available starting August 15.
The Mega Balorama is a contemporary interpretation of the archived wraparound design. An icon of forerunner style, these sunglasses have been worn by unique personalities for decades. No stranger to the big screen, the original has been donned by Hollywood icons Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry, Ray Liotta in Goodfellas and Christan Bale in Ford vs. Ferrari.
For 2024, Ray-Ban reinvigorated this style as part of the bold Ray-Ban Mega collection, with exaggerated temples in the same iconic style as the original. The exclusive sunglasses will come with etching ‘Designed for Champions’ on the inner temple and ‘Limited Edition’ on the alternate side in an ode to Ken Miles who wore the original. Each style will come in premium one-off packaging and a unique case to the product.
Ray-Ban is distributed in Canada by EssilorLuxottica.
