OSI & OPTOPLUS 2024 Summit: A Resounding Success for This Annual Gathering of Independent Practitioners

Expo OSI

Members of the OSI Group, the OPTOPLUS banner and numerous suppliers met at the annual Summit from 20 to 22 September. The aim of this meeting is to continually improve the quality of vision care offered to patients through continuing education, as well as promoting independent practice.

Throughout the weekend, renowned speakers such as Isabelle Fontaine, Jasmin Bergeron and many others led enriching sessions, offering participants learning opportunities on a variety of topics, including human resources management and the patient experience.

Expo OSI was held at the Quebec City Convention Centre, where dozens of suppliers met with optometrists, opticians and clinic staff to present their products and latest innovations.

To celebrate the clinics that stood out over the year, prizes were awarded during the gala dinner on Saturday evening. ‘I like the fact that, in a single weekend, our team can benefit from relevant training, discover new developments in optics and have fun with colleagues. It’s very motivating for the whole team,’ says Élizabeth Brassard, optician manager and co-owner of the OPTOPLUS Centre visuel clinic in Alma, who won the prize for the most outstanding manager.

To round off the weekend, the Optosys team presented participants with the new features to come. In addition, there was a question-and-answer session for participants so that they could improve their mastery of the software and thus simplify the management of their clinic.

‘As an owner, I find it really essential to be able to use Optosys to its full potential to optimise the management of clinic operations. It’s impressive to see how much time can be saved by automating certain tasks,’ said Dr Anne-Josée Gauthier, a member of the OSI Group Board of Directors and co-owner of Centre Visuel Optika in Pointe-Claire.
