EyeMed Vision Care and The Vision Council Foundation Expand Interactive Eye Health Series with The Great Eye Check Quest

EyeMed Vision Care and The Vision Council Foundation are expanding their interactive vision curriculum series with the launch of The Great Eye Check Quest, the third kit in the program. As students return to the classroom, this latest edition equips providers and educators with a hands-on adventure for grade school learners, exploring how the eyes work and why healthy vision matters.

Packed with engaging activities, colourful visuals, and easy-to-follow lessons, The Great Eye Check Quest takes grade school students inside the exam room to see what happens during an eye exam, understand how their eyes function, and discover simple tips to protect their sight for years to come.

“At EyeMed, our focus has always been on advancing access to care and shaping the future of eye health in meaningful ways,” said Matt MacDonald, President, EyeMed Vision Care. “These kits are one example of how we’re engaging directly with the next generation, by sparking curiosity, building healthy vision habits, and inspiring what could be tomorrow’s eye care professionals.”

The latest kit is available to order at no cost through eyemedvisionkits.com along with a digital download version, providing individuals with convenient access to share it with their audiences. For those attending Vision Expo West in Las Vegas next week, you can check out samples of The Great Eye Check Quest at the TVC Bar (P16087) or the EyeMed Booth (P14051).

“This new kit is an example of what’s possible when organizations work together toward a shared goal,” said Ashley Mills, CEO of The Vision Council. “Through our collaboration with EyeMed, we’re reaching thousands of providers and educators with tools that make vision education engaging and interactive.”

From Vision to Impact

EyeMed and The Vision Council Foundation have delivered more than 60,000 interactive eye health kits to grade schools, health plan partners, and non-profit organizations, while also fulfilling direct requests from providers, educators, and consumers. Additional kits distributed at industry events or downloaded online have further expanded the program’s reach, helping to inspire healthy vision habits in classrooms, clinics, and communities nationwide.

Why Vision Education Matters

Research shows that one in four school-age children has an undiagnosed vision problem that can affect learning and development. By combining interactive education with practical tips, the curriculum series, including The Great Eye Check Quest, aims to raise awareness among children and families about the importance of regular eye exams and everyday eye health.
