Global Myopia Awareness Coalition Launches Free Myopia Awareness Toolkit to Support Eye Care Providers

The Global Myopia Awareness Coalition (GMAC) is proud to announce the launch of the GMAC Myopia Awareness Toolkit, created to support eye care professionals with resources to drive more effective, informative conversations around childhood myopia and its management.

Originally pre-launched during Myopia Awareness Week 2025 with six assets, the GMAC Myopia Awareness Toolkit now features 10 key resources, with additional items to follow. The new expanded toolkit offers practical, ready-to-use materials designed to educate families and support clinical discussions, all available for free download at myopiaawareness.org/toolkit.

In addition to the toolkit, GMAC is releasing videos on social media featuring its Board and Advisory Panel members, showcasing the coalition’s global reach, diversity, and expertise. In these videos, members share their motivation for joining GMAC, key messages for parents, and their vision for GMAC’s role in advancing myopia awareness worldwide.

GMAC is currently conducting a pilot to boost visibility and local usage of these tools by providing them as co-branded versions for select member associations. GMAC plans to replicate this approach globally once it’s proven successful, growing myopia awareness in all countries and across many languages.
