HOYA Vision Care announced the launch of the updated HOYA Learning Center. The HOYA Learning Center is an online training platform offering high-quality eLearning for optical professionals, practice staff, and HOYA partners. With a growing library offering product knowledge, sales strategies, onboarding support, and clinical insights, the HOYA Learning Center is designed to educate, empower, and elevate the people who power our industry.
“Our customers have been clear: They know training matters, but are stretched thin, and they need something that is easy to implement and helps their teams grow,” said Samy Lauriette, Vice President of Strategic Marketing. “That’s exactly why we built the HOYA Learning Center–to meet real-world practice needs with expert-designed courses that are practical, accessible, and tailored for every role.”
The HOYA Learning Center offers dozens of courses, including:
- “Visionary Essentials”: Specifically designed to quickly onboard all new employees
- Basic Optics: Anatomy of the eye, physics, progressive and single vision solutions
- Products and Technology: iD LifeStyle 4, Super HiVision Meiryo EX4, Binocular Harmonization Technology, and Integrated Dual Surface Design
- Management and Sales: Selling multiple premium pairs and the benefits of occupational lenses
“A unique benefit of the HOYA Learning Center is that many of the courses are short, on average 20 minutes, making it easy for busy practices to fit learning into the day without disruption,” said Michael Gatti, Senior Manager, Professional Engagement. “It’s not just technical training courses either. We provide essential soft skills like phone etiquette and empathy in communication because every member of the optical team plays a role in delivering exceptional patient care.”
Building on its commitment to supporting continuous education across the optical industry, the new courses and features will be rolled out continually moving forward and are free to customers with access to the HOYA Hub via Single Sign On (SSO). Interested customers and eye care professionals who are not on the HOYA Hub can reach out to their local HOYA Business Consultant for Learning Center access.
