Vision Expo is undergoing a major transformation, consolidating from its traditional bi-annual, coast-to-coast format into one comprehensive yearly gathering starting March 2026. The Vision Council and RX, who organize the trade show, describe this restructuring as “a strategic evolution that will reshape the future of eyecare and eyewear in the Americas.”
The new unified format will create a rotating national event that moves between major metropolitan markets across the United States. The inaugural consolidated show is scheduled for Orlando in 2026, followed by Las Vegas in 2027 and New York in 2028, with all events taking place during the first quarter of each year.
Industry Response and Future Vision
This transition represents a response to comprehensive industry input gathered from exhibitors, attendees, business partners, and board leadership. The restructured Vision Expo aims to establish itself as the premier destination for product launches, professional development, technological advancement, and industry networking throughout the optical sector.
Vision Expo West will proceed as planned in Las Vegas from September 17-20, 2025, serving as the final event under the current dual-show structure before the transition to the new consolidated format.
