VSP Vision earns distinguished recognition for second-consecutive year
VSP Vision was honoured as a 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care by Great Place To Work and Fortune Magazine. This is the second-consecutive year VSP Vision has been named to this prestigious list, this year earning 16th place – an increase of 13 spots from last year – in the large category, for companies with more than 1,000 employees. VSP Vision was selected based on its ability to offer positive outcomes and an inclusive work environment for all employees regardless of job role, work status, and demographic identifiers.
“This recognition reflects our focus on cultivating a culture where all employees can contribute their unique strengths and reach their full potential,” said VSP Vision Chief Human Resources Officer Kristi Cappelletti-Matthews. “We are especially honoured to earn this award as VSP celebrates its 70th anniversary of driving improved health outcomes in our communities and helping people see every possibility.”
A highly competitive honour, the Best Workplaces in Health Care list is based on analysis of survey responses from nearly 228,000 employees at Great Place To Work Certified companies in the health care industry and determines its lists using the proprietary Trust Index Survey. Evaluating and certifying thousands of organizations in America’s largest ongoing annual workforce study, Great Place To Work compiles more than 1.3 million responses and data from companies representing more than 8.4 million employees.
Reflecting a comprehensive picture of the workplace experience through the Trust Index Survey, 84% of VSP employees said the company is a great place to work, which is a 3% increase from 2024. In addition, nearly 9 in 10 employees agreed that VSP Vision is a steward of the communities in which they work and live, whether through the VSP Eyes of Hope program or the employee-led service platform, “Hearts at Work.”
