EssilorLuxottica’s FGX International Announces New Brand Licensing Agreements

FGX International, part of the Group since 2010 and the North American leader in non-prescription reading glasses, is expanding its brand portfolio through new partnerships with Wrangler, True Religion and Sharper Image. These partnerships reflect FGX’s continued focus on reaching new consumer audiences, introducing distinct brand perspectives, and deepening retail engagement.

The collaborations strengthen the Company’s presence in the readers category, expanding its reach among consumers seeking accessible vision  solutions. Unlike prescription eyewear, which is customized to an individual’s specific vision needs, readers are ready-to-wear eyeglasses designed to help address age-related near-vision challenges. Available primarily through mass retailers, pharmacies, specialty retailers and department stores, they offer a practical solution for millions of consumers worldwide.

The Group established a leading position in the readers category through the acquisition of FGX International, one of the most recognized players in over-the-counter reading glasses and home to more than 50 brands. Among them is Foster Grant, its flagship brand, which has combined accessibility, style and innovation for more than 95 years to help consumers care for their vision.

Three New Brand Partnerships

The latest partnerships represent the continued evolution of the FGX portfolio, spanning fashion, lifestyle, functionality, and innovation:

  • Wrangler introduces a heritage-inspired eyewear collection rooted in authenticity, versatility and everyday wearability.
  • True Religion brings a bold, fashion-forward aesthetic focused on individuality and self-expression.
  • Sharper Image x Foster Grant combines modern design with functional, innovation-led eyewear solutions for everyday use.

This marks another milestone in FGX’s growth within EssilorLuxottica, reinforcing the Group’s ability to serve consumers across every segment, from premium brands to reading solutions, while continuing to bring better vision to more people around the world.
