Alcon will highlight its innovation portfolio at the 2026 American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) annual meeting, October 10-12 in New Orleans. Attendees visiting Alcon at Booth #1519 can explore hands-on demonstrations spanning cataract, retina, glaucoma and dry eye disease. Featured innovations include the UNITY platform, highlighted by the new UNITY M ophthalmic microscope, along with Clareon PanOptix Pro, Clareon TruPlus IOLs, Valeda Photobiomodulation (PBM) and Voyager DSLT.
“At AAO 2026, Alcon will demonstrate how innovation is redefining what’s possible in eye care,” said Sergio Duplan, President of the Americas at Alcon. “Attendees will experience firsthand how our portfolio is helping shape the future of eye care through technologies and clinical solutions that support eye care professionals every day.”
UNITY Booth Demonstrations Provide a Firsthand Look at Alcon’s Surgical Platform
The UNITY platform will anchor Alcon’s AAO presence. Attendees can participate in private demonstrations of both configurations: the UNITY VCS combined console and the UNITY CS standalone cataract system. The recently launched UNITY M microscope, a premium surgical microscope that delivers precise control for ophthalmic surgeons, will also be featured. Together, these experiences provide a firsthand look at how connected surgical technologies support visualization, workflow efficiency and surgical performance. Alcon experts will be available for one-on-one discussions and product demonstrations throughout the meeting.
Recent Innovations Demonstrate Alcon’s Broad Eye Care Portfolio
Alcon’s booth will also feature demonstrations highlighting several of the company’s newest innovations. In cataract surgery, attendees can learn more about Clareon PanOptix Pro, the latest evolution of the world’s leading trifocal family, as well as Clareon TruPlus IOLs, Alcon’s next-generation monofocal and toric IOL platform designed to build on the performance of the Clareon family.
In retina, attendees can explore Valeda PBM, the first and only FDA-authorized treatment for patients with early and intermediate dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), through dedicated technology demonstrations.1
In glaucoma, Alcon will showcase Voyager DSLT, an innovative first-line glaucoma treatment option powered by automated SureTrac eye-tracking technology, which precisely delivers laser pulses through the limbus to the trabecular meshwork.2
In addition to its surgical portfolio, Alcon will highlight TRYPTYR (acoltremon ophthalmic solution) 0.003%, a prescription treatment option for the millions of patients affected by dry eye disease (DED). As the first neuromodulator eye drop that can rapidly increase natural tear production as early as day one, TRYPTYR represents a novel approach to DED management.3-7 Attendees can learn more about this innovation, including its first-in-class mechanism of action, by visiting Alcon at booth #1519.
