EssilorLuxottica is proud to sponsor the 2025 THE Myopia Meeting, where the Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses was officially announced to the Canadian market, setting a new benchmark in childhood myopia management. This next generation innovation leverages more than four decades of research and clinical expertise, addressing one of the fastest-growing vision conditions worldwide.
Advanced H.A.L.T. MAX Technology Delivers Superior Results
Building off the success of Essilor® Stellest® lenses, the most effective myopia management spectacle solution is now even more advanced, offering stronger efficacy and improved design to help protect children’s vision for the future. Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses are powered by H.A.L.T.* MAX technology (Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target), creating twice the depth of volume of non-focused light compared to the first generation and delivering a stronger optical signal to help slow eye elongation – the underlying cause of myopia progression. Clinical evidence from a 12-month randomized, double-masked trial conducted in Singapore confirms that Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses significantly reduce axial elongation compared to the original Essilor® Stellest® lenses, while maintaining uncompromised visual clarity for children as young as six years old.

A Commitment to Children’s Vision Health
“Our mission is to empower eye care professionals and families with solutions that make a real difference. Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses represent a significant leap forward in efficacy, offering children a better chance at healthy vision for life,” said Bruce Miles, General Manager, Professional Solutions EssilorLuxottica Canada and Head of HumanWare.
The new lenses feature an optimized design with a larger diameter lens. They retain the benefits of the previous generation, including Crizal® Rock™ coating and Airwear® polycarbonate material, which offers impact resistance and complete UV protection. These advancements ensure that Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses deliver both efficacy and safety, supporting children’s vision and quality of life. Proactive myopia management is key for all children – and more critical for higher-risk groups, such as those with a family history of myopia, early diagnosis, or limited time outdoors. Essilor® Stellest® lenses will continue to be available alongside Essilor® Stellest® 2.0, ensuring a comprehensive portfolio for myopia management. However, Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 represents the most advanced and effective solution to date, offering children the strongest protection against myopia progression.
Starting early 2026, Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses will be available by prescription through eye care professionals across Canada.
