EssilorLuxottica Officially Launches Essilor Stellest 2.0 Lenses in Canada

EssilorLuxottica announces the official launch of Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses, the next advancement in its growing portfolio of evidence‑based myopia management solutions for children. Building on the proven success of the first‑generation Essilor® Stellest® lens, the new design delivers a stronger optical signal and significantly greater efficacy in slowing axial elongation – the key driver of myopia progression.

Twice the Signal, Measurably Better Outcomes

New clinical data shows that Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses provide twice the signal, slowing eye growth in myopic children by 1.88 times more than the previous generation. Over 12 months, children wearing Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses showed an estimated 46 percent relative reduction in axial length change compared to those wearing Essilor® Stellest® lenses.

“This launch represents an incredibly meaningful leap forward for children’s vision,” said Bruce Miles, General Manager, Professional Solutions EssilorLuxottica Canada. “By increasing the depth of volume of non-focused light, we’re giving eyecare professionals a more powerful tool to help slow myopia progression and support healthier visual outcomes at a critical stage in a child’s development.”

Advanced Technology, Greater Frame Choice

Powered by H.A.L.T.® MAX technology, Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses create a deeper volume of non‑focused light, delivering a stronger signal to help slow eye elongation while maintaining visual clarity for everyday tasks. The new iteration also features a larger 75mm lens diameter to suit more frames for a more personalized choice, and retains the durability and protection of Crizal® Rock™ coating and Airwear® polycarbonate material.

Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses will be available alongside the first‑generation Essilor® Stellest® lens, providing eye care professionals with a complete suite of options to support all myopic children. Proactive intervention remains essential — particularly for children diagnosed at younger ages or those with a family history of myopia.

Essilor® Stellest® 2.0 lenses are now available by prescription through eye care professionals across Canada.
