Building on AURA, the family that first brought together polymer fronts and acetate temples, Spectaful introduces AURA LIGHT with a closer focus on proportion. The new family keeps the same construction but adopts slimmer fronts and finer temples: the frames gain a lighter presence, while the geometry and material contrast that define the original family stay intact. Rather than introducing a new construction language, the collection develops an existing one through a more considered use of scale, and the relationship between shape, colour and material comes forward in a different way.
Reducing the profiles around the lenses has a visible effect on the way each frame sits on the face. The outlines remain clearly defined, yet the structure becomes more understated, so each silhouette feels more immediate. The contrast between the polymer front and acetate temples is still central to the AURA identity, but within these finer proportions it reads with greater clarity.
Five Distinct Silhouettes: Scale, Geometry, and Colour
Across the five new styles, this approach takes on distinctly different characters. Model AVELINE brings a softly defined rectangular shape to the women’s collection, its clean lines softened by gently rounded transitions. Model CLONA moves towards a butterfly silhouette, with an upward sweep at the outer corners that gives the frame a more open expression. Model CIPHER translates the same construction into a broader squared profile for men.
Model DANTE pushes the geometry further: an octagonal unisex design whose angular outline holds its graphic edge even within the slimmer structure. Model NOMAI, also conceived as a unisex style, completes the family with a cat-eye shape: a lifted outer line that keeps the same controlled proportions as the rest of the collection.
Taken together, the five models show how one design principle can move across rectangular, butterfly, squared, octagonal and cat-eye geometries. Each silhouette keeps its own identity, even as the family reads as a single, recognisable collection.
Colour plays into that same relationship instead of sitting apart from it. Saturated fronts are combined with quieter tonal options, while the acetate temples introduce contrasting and marbled finishes in shades including Havana, blue, lilac, pink and green. On a slimmer frame, these pairings become particularly visible at the transition between front and temple, where changes in tone and finish add depth and individuality without taking attention away from the shape itself.
On the sharper geometry of models DANTE and CIPHER, colour emphasises the precision of the outline; models AVELINE and CLONA use softer transitions to integrate contrasting temples more fluidly, and model NOMAI brings the two directions together through its lifted profile.
AURA LIGHT continues an idea that has been part of Spectaful from the beginning: expressive design, comfort and technical precision, held together by a lightweight approach. That principle now takes shape through slimmer proportions and five very different silhouettes. The AURA family grows, with the principles that have defined it from the start still clearly recognisable.
Spectaful returns to SILMO Paris from September 25th to 28th, 2026, at Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte, where the brand will showcase its latest optical designs.
