At the Met Gala, A$AP Rocky and Ray-Ban set a bold new standard in eyewear. The exclusive sunglasses unveiled weren’t just accessories; they were a cultural statement.

A one-of-a-kind Ray-Ban Wayfarer Puffer featuring an oversized 18kt gold logo, set with 0.50 to 1.30 carats of natural diamonds and gemstones, and four diamond-set rivets on the front — all meticulously handcrafted in Italy and designed exclusively for this iconic moment. It was Rocky’s vision brought to life: fearless, elevated, daring, and unapologetic.

With this same attitude, following the Met Gala, A$AP Rocky’s creative collective AWGE and Ray-Ban, redefined the after-party experience with the launch of the AWGE Tailor Shop, at Jeans NYC a one-night-only activation blending heritage craftsmanship, hip-hop spirit, and futuristic fashion.

Set inside a custom-built storefront tailor shop, guests were transported into a meticulously crafted world inspired by vintage 1940s design donning A$AP’s unreleased collection: Wayfarer puffer Gold accents, antique millinery head forms, and a wall of icons that inspire A$AP Rocky—including legendary musicians, designers, and cultural disruptors—set the scene. Every detail celebrated both the golden age of style and the future Rocky continues to shape. Among those at the event were Rihanna, Adut Akech, Daniel Kaluuya, Dapper Dan, Heidi Klum, Jenna Ortega, Julia Fox, Keke Palmer, Lameka Fox, Maluma, Megan Thee Stallion, Natasha Lyonne, Precious Lee, Sabrina Carpenter, Shaboozey, Saquon Barkley, Spike Lee, Suni Lee, Tracee Ellis Ross and more.

 

The Wayfarer Puffer: Revolutionary Eyewear Design

The centerpiece of the space? An exclusive first look at A$AP Rocky’s latest drop: the Wayfarer Puffer. Reimagining the most iconic sunglasses in history, Rocky infuses the design with a bold, streetwise twist. Available from June, The Puffer Wayfarer comes in black, red, white, pink, yellow, green and blue, featuring amplified, puffy frames that blend high fashion with the unapologetic edge of hip-hop culture. Displayed proudly on antique head forms, each pair made a powerful statement, seamlessly marrying past and present.

And as the cherry on top, Rocky was seen wearing an ultra-premium version of the Puffer Wayfarer — crafted from 200 grams of 18kt white gold and pavé-set with 60 carats of natural diamonds and red gemstones. This one-of-one creation now ranks among the most expensive sunglasses ever produced in the industry.

In a nod to Rocky’s “Don’t Be Dumb” ethos, guests were handed exclusive “Don’t Be Dumb” tickets — redeemable for a curated “smoking” experience on-site.

The AWGE Tailor Shop was more than an afterparty – It was a living, breathing testament to A$AP Rocky’s singular influence on music, art, and fashion. From puffer frames to golden rollers, every element told the story of a visionary pushing boundaries and remixing tradition on his own terms.
